There is an ongoing discussion on social media on whether Beyoncé’s “Lion King” album nomination at the 2020 GRAMMY,S makes Shatta Wale a Nominee.

After the release of Grammy nominees 2020 , Shatta Wale took to micro blogging site, Twitter to tell his fans and the world that he is excited to have his name enter the Grammy's .

 He Tweeted

"At long last my name has entered Grammys . Thanks to the Beehive Team!!!! Patience is truly the key! Pah Pah Pah Pah"

In an interview with MzGee on 3Fm, Ghanaian Blogger ,Ameyaw Debrah asked Fuse ODG , a Ghanaian  musician and a Grammy winner , if he has a plaque to show as a winner since he claim he co-wrote the album alongside Ed Sheeran, when his album won the best pop vocal album at the 2018 Grammy's. Fuse, on the other hand, flarred up on air and said Ghanaians like discrediting our artistes instead of supporting them.

Shatta Wale in turn, has also rained insults on Ghanaians especially bloggers for asking him to accept that he is not a 2020 Grammy Nominee but a participant as he speculating on social media. He said Ghanaians are fools who do not support their own and went ahead to describe Ameyaw Debrah as someone who looks like an AIDS Patient.

He made an assertion that, since Ghana Black Stars team takes credit for winning a football match even though it’s one player who scored the goal, then he is also a GRAMMY nominee since Beyoncé’s album has been nominated.
