Creative Minds Are Undervalued in Ghana - Nana Otu Gyandoh
Programmes Manager at Asaase Radio, Nana Otu Gyandoh has made some comments about Ghana's creative arts industry.
In an interview with Caroline Sampson, host of the Ten2one show on Asaase Radio, he stated that Ghana's creative minds are underappreciated, and that it took the introduction of computers and technology for people to recognize how creative Ghanaians are.
He also stated that there are creative minds in Ghana who are hesitant to pursue their dreams due to lack of support.
Mr. Gyandoh asserted that the youth are the driving force behind the industrial revolution, but our industry's senior citizens are the roadblock. He went on to add that they should be more accepting of resource-strapped creative minds.
He named Abubakar Sadiq, the CEO of 3music, as someone who is doing well, but he believes there is a source and that other creatives should be given some help in order to prosper in the creative arts market.
