Basketmouth Popular Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha, aka Basketmouth claims that the comedy industry is slowly dying. In an interview with Accra Lagos Joburg's Solomon Ter on Asaase Radio, he said,   "If you go to the United States right now, in Texas, let's say Houston or Dallas, Dallas has maybe 5 to 10 comedy clubs. They keep opening comedy clubs in different cities and different locations, and what that does is give a comedian a place to go and try out his material. He can do that for about six months preparing his set, perfecting it, and then doing his comedy specials and all that. Obomengniibaa Nana Akua The 2nd Annual Ghana Media and Entrepreneurship Awards 22 have announced Obomengniibaa Nana Akua, an on-air personality and radio producer, as the overall winner for the Entertainment Personality of the Year (Journalist) category. According to Ellis Adjei, the founder of the Ghana Media and Entrepreneurship Awards, Obomengniibaa Nana Akua distinguished herself from her colleague Journalists in Entertainment news and production by transforming personal ambitions into goals, as well as using her direct channel of communication, radio to highlight some significant concerns in society during the year under review. She is the producer of Asaase Café, hosted by Caroline Sampson, and 995 Rush Hour, hosted by Elvis Crystal. She also hosts an entertainment segment called the Juice on Asaase Radio 99.5 in Accra.
